The French Health Network of Central Southwestern Ontario (FHNCSO) is seeking a Project Officer. We are a not-for-profit organization created in 2003 that contributes to the development of French language health services in South Central Ontario by providing leadership in understanding health system trends, supporting health service providers and advancing public policy. The Network's territory includes Erie St. Clair, Southwest, Waterloo-Wellington, Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant, West Central, Mississauga Halton, Toronto Central, Central East and North Simcoe Muskoka

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and in accordance with the principles and guidelines of the FHNCSO, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the duties listed below. This is a full-time position requiring project management skills, good interpersonal skills, and technical knowledge in the areas involved.

DUTIES RELATED TO THE POSITION

The Project Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the initiatives to which he/she has been assigned and for monitoring their progress at each stage of the process. He/she is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of the strategies and procedures for the grant programs assigned to the Network, in close collaboration with the Executive Director. He/she consults with senior management on the direction of the projects under his/her responsibility, their implementation, their evolution and any related issues. The Project Coordinator also creates and maintains good relations with the various partners of the Network. The Project Coordinator also ensures the follow-up process for project proposals developed by the Société Santé en français in close collaboration with the Network's general management.

Management of initiatives and projects:

- Create and maintain good relationships with the various partners of the Network
- Represent the Network at various tables and committees related to the health field
- Ensure the follow-up process for project proposals developed by the Société Santé en français
- Develop a process and local tools to ensure impartial management and effective dissemination of information, while respecting the standards established by the Société Santé en français
- Establish an impartial project proposal analysis committee, representative of the network territory and composed of relevant and complementary expertise.
- Provide the committee with the tools it needs to make informed decisions
- Prepare all documentation required to ensure the certification of the project analysis process by Société Santé en français and follow up with the bidders.
- Ensure local follow-up of selected project sponsors and compliance with the objectives of the approved project (content supervision)
- Provide ad hoc support to project proponents (advice on report preparation, sharing of information and best practices, links with consultants, etc.) and create synergy between potential partners that can support the success of projects

**Assist in representing the Network at various tables and committees related to the health field.**
- Collaborate with external consultants, depending on the various initiatives
- Help manage supporting resources (SharePoint, workshops, documents, videos, etc.) the preparation of activities and tools for knowledge mobilization purposes (webinars, workshops, videos and others).

Required training and experience:

- **Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position with a focus on the health field**:

- Bachelor's degree in health science, social work, administration, human resources, computer science or relevant combination of education and work experience
- Good knowledge of project management principles and tools
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills
- Experience with issues related to health services for Francophone seniors or newcomers would be an asset

Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of the Ontario health care system, Francophone communities and the realities and issues related to French language health services
- Experience working with non-profit organizations, in the health sector, in the Francophone community
- Ability to analyze, take initiative, organize, adapt, innovate and solve problems
- Good judgment and sense of responsibility
- Leadership, creativity, versatility and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team in an interdisciplinary environment
- Communication, writing, synthesis, presentation and outreach skills to a variety of audiences, in French and English
- Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse partners from different backgrounds
- Good knowledge of social media
- Very good oral and written communication skills in French and English
- Video editing skills an asset
