Delta, Canada Delta Community Living Society Full time

We are seeking a Residential Coordinator/Community Support Worker on a temporary basis. The person will work 21 hours as Residential Coordinator, and 15 hours as Community Support Worker, at Cabeldu Residence. This is a 3-month temporary position with the possibility of extension. Key components of this position are to ensures homes are operated consistent with the Society and Ministry of Children and Family Development policies and procedures, and ensure that all relevant decisions are based on Society Services principles and in pursuit of the Society’s Mission; ensure that individuals served actively participate in the development of their own outcomes; and ensure the emotional and physical well being of the individuals. Working in a team, you will foster a positive and professional relationship with coworkers and staff, provide work direction to staff, volunteers and practicum students, assist in staff development, and provide feedback and recommending discipline.
- Has a degree, diploma or certificate in human services or related field.
- Has 3-5 years previous direct program delivery experience in community social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of community-based services to adults with mental disabilities and the related provincial and community support.
- Has strong leadership and supervisory skills including the demonstrated ability to develop performance of team members through goal setting and feedback as well as the ability to mediate and problem solve.
- Utilizes the Society’s Service Principles and Mission Statement.
- Uses outcome-based performance for the individuals we support.
- Practices good organizational, coordination, administration, time management and budgeting skills.
- Has a good awareness of the local community and resources.
- Understands and has experience with the Accountability Framework and Personal Life Plan process
- Is knowledgeable of theory, principles and practices of the community living field, including the Behavioural Guidelines and Incident Reporting Procedures.
- Experience and training in needs assessment, program design, implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrates the ability to inspire and influence others in achieving successful outcomes and results for the people served.
- Remains empathetic and supportive of the individuals we support and co-workers.
- Communicates effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrates proficiency using computer software including MS Office, Quicken, timesheets, scheduling and PLP.
- Flexibility, creativity and responsive to changes needs and program demands are essential.
- Meets the employment requirements of the Society including an **unrestricted Class 4 driver's license**, Emergency First Aid - Community Care, and FOODSAFE Level 1.

**Typical Work Schedule**:

- Residential Coordinator: Monday - Wednesday;10:00am - 5:00pm
- CSW: Thursday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm; Friday, 3:00pm - 10:00pm

**Rate of Pay**:

- RC - $28.39 - $33.06
- CSW - $22.68 - $25.19

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $22.68-$33.06 per hour
