The Communications team is focused on driving programs and activities that evolve, promote and protect Mastercard’s reputation among key internal and external audiences. They support the company’s efforts in delivering world-class payments experiences and are responsible for all internal and external communications for Canada.
This role is focused on developing strategic communications programs and campaigns to advance Mastercard’s reputation as a trusted, purpose-driven innovator. The role will be responsible for elevating the company’s innovation position, reputation and brand perception with key external stakeholders including media, customers, prospects, and more.
The individual in this role will also be responsible for driving strategic internal communications plans, programs and social technologies that align with business goals to enhance employee understanding, increase engagement, and drive high performance culture.
Role:
Work in collaboration with the Vice President, Communications, Canada and other senior business and marcomms leaders to develop progressive, integrated communications and marketing strategies to advance the company’s mission, and evolve, promote and protect Mastercard’s brand and reputation.
- Drive the development of holistic internal and external communications campaigns for Mastercard Brand and the company’s B2B, enterprise and emerging technology products.
- Build and enhance Mastercard’s business reputation and impact through clear and impactful communications, events and social media engagement.
- Partner with global and regional communications teams to showcase Mastercard’s innovation story across product, technology, services, and marketing
- Identify industry and market trends to understand key perceptions, motivations and drivers related to payments, technology and security
- Develop data-driven storytelling initiatives and messaging to showcase the business strategy, product innovations and partnerships.
- Leverage relationships with key media and industry analysts to support product/service launches and corporate announcements
- Proactively build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key financial services, payments and tech top-tier and trade media, influencers, and industry analysts to support product/service launches and raise executive profiles.
- Partner with global communications to coordinate and direct sustained internal communications programs and contribute to implementation of best practice internal communications capabilities in the form of events, digital, written communication channels
- Draft wide range of executive communications (including memos and speaking remarks/speeches) ensuring clear, concise, consistent messaging.
