You will independently lead the development and management of a portfolio of donors and projects at the $25,000+ level, and you will also work closely with Associate Directors of Development and the fundraising team to support additional gift opportunities, using your strong relationship building, project management and communication skills.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and managing a portfolio of donors and projects at the $25,000+ level by engaging in prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition
- Determining the appropriate involvement of members of the university community and volunteers in the cultivation, solicitation and recognition process
- Evaluating a prospective donor’s giving capacity and readiness to give and readiness to give along with identifying, evaluating and recommending the steps to bring a prospect closer to making a major financial commitment
- Managing donor relations including developing and implementing donor engagement plans that support strategic objectives, meeting face-to-face with current and potential donors
- Preparing donor gift agreements, acknowledgement and recognition communications along with writing briefing notes, solicitation plans and call reports to track donor interaction
- Producing donor reports, maintaining detailed records of donor interaction, tracking and monitoring donations received against donations pledged
- Working in a supportive capacity with Associate Directors of Development and the fundraising team on more complex or larger gifts both to support moves management and receive exposure to varied donor and gift opportunities that will contribute to professional growth

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a fundraising or relationship management role with a proven track record of success
- Demonstrated prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition experience
- Demonstrated experience drafting complex donor reports and communications
- Experience working with senior level volunteers, researchers or clinicians
- Highly developed computer skills working with MS Office; databases; and conten tmanagement systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Evidence of leadership and initiative, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and, creativity
- Proven ability to motivate others, i.e. volunteers, team members, donors
