The National African Descent Youth (NADY) Event Coordinator is a critical role focused on leading and implementing the marketing and outreach efforts for the National African Descent Youth Summit. The coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing a multimedia communication and marketing plan, managing the summit's online presence, and reaching out to youth groups across Canada to encourage attendance. The coordinator will work closely with the event management and communications teams to ensure a cohesive strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Marketing and Communications Strategy:

- Lead and implement a multimedia communications and marketing plan, including summit/brand positioning, content strategy, social media messaging, persona development, and timelines. Develop a targeted outreach strategy to connect with youth groups across Canada and encourage their attendance at the summit.

2. Digital Presence Management:

- Work with the event coordinator and communications specialist to manage the summit’s website and social media for two months, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
- Monitor and respond to online inquiries and feedback regarding the summit.

3. Copywriting:

- Create and edit communication materials as needed, including promotional content, social media posts, newsletters, and press releases.
- Ensure all written materials align with the summit's brand voice and messaging.

4. Stakeholder Outreach:

- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential attendees, sponsors, and media partners.
- Liaise with youth groups, community organizations, and educational institutions to promote the summit and encourage participation.

5. Event Support:

- Collaborate with the event management team to ensure that marketing and communications efforts align with the summit’s objectives.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of event-related activities as needed.

**Qualifications**:
1. Education and Experience:

- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in event marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.

2. Skills and Competencies:

- Strong marketing and communication skills, with experience in multimedia campaigns.
- Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
