The Assistant Manager, General Procurement is responsible for LG’s procurement activities such as contract management, process enforcement, and reporting for various business segments. This position is responsible for vendor sourcing, negotiating and contract management with the mandate of securing favorable pricing and terms. The individual will partner closely with the stakeholders to develop contractual strategies, ensuring expected savings are realized. To succeed in this role, the individual must skillfully partner with finance, legal counsel, technology, and business partners, leading all aspects of contract management.

Bilingualism in Korean and English is mandatory.

PRINICPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Management (60%)
- Manage and conduct full sourcing process for various projects-Marketing, Facility Management, SVC, Business service, etc.
- Conduct procurement process
- vendor sourcing, RFx, negotiation and contract
- Negotiate with new and existing vendor contracts to secure advantageous terms and pricing
- Identify cost savings opportunities across existing vendor contracts
- Work closely with in-house legal counsel to support the analysis and review, of various commercial contracts (including amendments and renewals)
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation on all solicitations, responses, purchases, contracts, correspondence

Procurement strategy (20%)
- Improve and implement procurement system and process based on HQ’s guideline
- Develop commodity strategy and standard templates of RFx
- Analyze and validate budget and contract spending
- Partner with business, legal, and technology teams to validate the accuracy and completeness of key contracts
- Guide internal teams on best practices as it relates to contract and vendor management

Spend analysis and budget monitoring (20%)
- Regularly analyze purchasing spends, enhance commodity strategy
- Support financial report of budget and payment process
- Manage exceptional process cases
- Support KPIs and financial metrics and report to LG's Regional Office (U.S.) and HQ (Korea)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Procurement
- RFx, vendor management, project management experience
- Computer skills, including familiarity with MS office
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingualism in Korean and English is required
- Experience in marketing related commodities is an asset
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- CPM/CPSM certification preferred
