Join our Quality Assurance (QA) team in a pivotal role that bridges design, development, and manufacturing to ensure the excellence and compliance of our products throughout their lifecycle. The PLM Configuration Management Specialist will lead the implementation, optimization, and management of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, managing manufacturing part changes, and overseeing product transitions from inception to end-of-life. You will act as a linchpin in coordinating the seamless interaction between design engineering, program management, and final manufacturing release, ensuring that changes are structured, reviewed, and approved efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- PLM System Management:

- Act as a core team member in the PLM implementation project, responsible for setting up, modifying, and maintaining the configuration management processes and procedures.
- Train and educate team members on configuration management processes, ensuring comprehensive understanding across departments.
- Configuration and Change Management:

- Support Engineering BOM creation and manage part change controls with the Product Development group.
- Assist in creating and managing the Approved Vendor List (AVL) with Module Development & Purchasing teams.
- Handle Part Change Requests, Change Orders, and Deviations, overseeing their initiation, checking, routing, release, and implementation, including ERP system integration.
- Collaboration and Compliance:

- Work closely with Product Development, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure configuration management processes are integrated seamlessly.
- Conduct configuration audits to affirm compliance with procedures and contractual requirements.
- Facilitate Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings to discuss and approve proposed changes.
- Address and resolve configuration management issues through detailed analysis and root cause identification.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Ensure all product documentation is complete, up to date, and complies with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Perform basic administration tasks as delegated by IT, such as user and password management, and report generation.

**Qualifications**:Experience Required**:

- At least 5 years of experience in configuration management, data management, or related fields.
- Proficient in PLM, ERP systems, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, MS PowerApps, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry-standard Configuration Management practices.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 principles and technical documentation analysis.

**Education/Training**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with relevant professional certifications preferred.

**Salary Range**: $75,000-100,000 CAD
