Cannabis Grow Technician
The Grow Technician is responsible for performing all tasks in the growing process. The Grow Technician will collaborate with the Head Grower in implementing the horticultural plan created by the Head Grower. Duties include the following:
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Assist Head Grower with all aspects of growing including: cloning, transplanting, maintaining nutrient regiment, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, trimming, harvesting, drying, packaging, waste disposal and inventory management
- Assist Head Grower in managing production schedule and perform duties of Head Grower in his/her absence, as delegated
- Ensure compliance to the Cannabis Regulations (CR), adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP)
- Complete and maintain accurate daily activity records and relevant forms, logs using designated software and tools to meet the requirements of SOPs and Company Policies
- Execute integrated pest management (IPM) and plant pathogen programs, eliminating all types of mould, powdery mildew, spider mites, fungus gnats, root aphids, thrips, etc
- Responsible for ensuring safe work procedures while reporting hazards and unsafe work to the Head Grower
- Assist Health Canada Compliance and Enforcement Specialist with compliance inspections and audits
- Communicate effectively with management, employees and contractors
- Other duties as assigned
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
Post secondary graduate
- Previous experience as a Grow Technician/Gardener in the legalized Cannabis industry preferred
- Skilled and experienced in grow room or green house operations an asset
- Knowledge of plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, etc..
- Strong mathematic and reasoning skills
- Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Knowledge of cannabis plant genetics
- Knowledge and understanding of the Cannabis Regulations (CR)
- Must have accountability, proactive behaviour and strong attention to detail
- Able to adapt to new technology and procedure changes
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to bend, reach, and squat periodically
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure
- Currently are security (RCMP) cleared to work in a Licensed Producer facility or eligible to successfully pass an extensive background check and security (RCMP) clearance
**Compensation**: $20-25/hr., depending on experience

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
