The Rossdown Group of Companies is looking to add a full-time Health & Safety Coordinator to our roster. The HSC will play a vital role in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Safety Program, ensuring our employees are reporting to a safe and healthy workplace.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the HSC will collaborate with all levels of employees to plan, organize, coordinate and maintain all health and safety activities at Rossdown, including document revision and control, safety training and claims management. The HSC will also be responsible for ensuring our program complies with all internal and external regulations and legislations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver training and various tool-box talks to employees on topics surrounding safety, health and wellness and respect in the workplace
- Provide direction, support and resources to all site managers, supervisors, lead hands and employees on H&S related matters.
- Communicate and coach staff on H&S to ensure all safety expectations are understood and met.
- Develop training tools to ensure safe operation of all equipment in all scenarios
- Coordinate and schedule OHS meetings for all business units to ensure compliance to WorkSafe regulations.
- Develop and maintain H&S reports to show stake holders impacts of safety programs, highest risk areas, and most urgent areas of need
- Ensure safety boards at all work sites are present and up to date
- Ensure that all facilities maintain an audit ready filing and documentation system including COR audits
- Document all workplace injuries including completion of all WorkSafeBC required forms, and file with appropriate bodies
- Investigate all incidence, injuries, near misses, etc to ensure all relevant details are captured for the purposes of completing appropriate documentation
- Develop processes to reduce WorkSafeBC premiums, and improve employer ratings.
- **Requirements**:

- Occupational Health and Safety Degree, Diploma or Certificate
- Minimum 5-year Health and Safety field experience
- Previous success with developing good rapport with all levels of staff
- Previous experience in completing COR audits

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
