Program Manager

Atlohsa Family Healing Services is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to fill the role of **Program Manager for **in Atlohsa’s Housing First program and Giweetashkad Indigenous Homelessness Outreach program. The primary role of the Program Manager is to provide program leadership in all aspects of program delivery, including daily operations, strategic initiatives, program planning and budgeting. This position will support crisis intervention, safety planning, and wellness supports to individuals who have experienced mental health imbalance, trauma, homelessness, violence, and/or human trafficking.

**Role and Responsibility**

Using a holistic Indigenous-led approach to principles of Harm Reduction and trauma-informed care, the Program Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing program service delivery which aims to support Indigenous peoples’ healing from the effects of intergenerational trauma. Understanding colonization and historical state sanctioned violence against Indigenous peoples in Canada, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program. Comfortable creating and implement short and long-term operational plans, strategic objectives, annual operational budgets, and reporting. The Program Manager provides staff supervision and maintains staffing schedules. The Program Manager must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to plan and facilitate programs and circles to promote wholistic healing values and principles. The Program Manager will also participate in agency wide programming and wholistic supports, including case management with other staff to best support families accessing Atlohsa Family Healing Services.

**Suitability**
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the languages, traditional ways, history and cultures of the Indigenous population in the London region
- Strong analysis of colonialism and the ways in which historical and ongoing colonization impacts Indigenous peoples intergenerational
- **University degree or equivalent work or community experience in Social Work, social sciences, humanities and/or other related field**:

- Experience working with Indigenous women and children who have been exposed to violence/abuse and with Indigenous people experiencing homelessness
- Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to provide training support and supervision Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal relations, problem-solving, crisis intervention, group dynamics, community development and other innovative approaches
- Understanding of cultural safety and an awareness of its impact on practice
- Skills in conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation (to build trust and resolve disagreements)
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills and the ability to prioritize multiple competing workload demands in fast paced environment
- Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others in a respectful manner as defined in the Atlohsa Code of Conduct
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License, First Aid and CPR certificate and Current Vulnerable Sector Check

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$73,000.00 per year depending on education and experience
