**Job Overview**: The Events Specialist will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events from conception through to completion. This role involves managing all delivery elements including execution, budget, and client satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage all logístical aspects related to event planning, such as venue sourcing and selection; vendor contracting and management; online registration and reporting, F&B experience, audio visual, space set-ups, etc.
- Liaise with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Collect, analyze, track and share event feedback
- Generate ideas to improve services and event quality
- Collaborate with marketing to promote and publicize events
- Proactively handle any issues and troubleshoot any problems prior to, day of and after the event
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in the service industry as an Event Manager, Banquet Captain or equivalent
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build lasting business relationships
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
- Post secondary education in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or equivalent work experience an asset
- Must be able to attend evening and weekend programs
