Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as on-call relief staff. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include caring for children ages 12 months to six years of age. Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and implementing the Alberta Flight Curriculum.

Duties and Requirements:

- Create and implement planning that align with the curriculum and educational goals of our centre.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities, and use of the Flight Curriculum.
- Promote language development, literacy skills, and numeracy skills.
- Develop positive relationships with parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child
- Be flexible with shift and breaks schedule, and maintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Alberta Flight Curriculum and The Reggio Emilia Approach in early childhood settings.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred - Level 1, 2, or 3 early childhood education required.
- Strong time management skills to effectively plan and organize daily activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills to maintain records and documentation
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
- Support and acceptance of children, families and colleagues of all race, religion and gender.
- Valid first aid, and Police record check
