Audit Supervisor

The Audit Supervisor will be responsible to overall all municipal audits to ensure our contractual obligations are adhered to. This position requires managing the audit team to ensure job tasks are completed safely and in a timely manner. Effective communication is required with the Operations Managers to resolve any material audit disputes and ensure contractual obligations are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Compilation of all audit data, ensuring it is provided to applicable plant managers, contract manager(s) and other managers as required
- Completion of monthly municipal material pricing.
- Supervise audit team, including enforcement/implementation of safe work practices, including issuing disciplinary action should violation of company policies occurs
- Ensure new and existing audit team members are trained on audit requirements as per contracts outlined by the Departmental Manager.
- Performance Management - conduct annual performance review for audit team.
- Tracking employees’ hours, breaks, vacation time and sick days and submit to Human Resources.
- Review, edit and approve hours using the Agile time management system
- Train new hires on policies, procedures and regulations governing numerous municipal contacts
- Communicate with Supervisors and Managers any audit disputes arising with the municipal contract(s), when required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**:

- Minimum of 8 years of audit experience in a similar or related industry
- University degree
- Technical knowledge of best practices in IT General Controls and Application Controls
- Knowledge of COBIT and COSO frameworks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify risks and recommend cost-effective IT and operational controls
- Ability to meet deadlines, deliver on time with quality
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Great Plains, Cognos, GRC systems and processes is considered an asset
- Expertise in using data analytics software (e.g. ACL) would be an asset
- Authorized to work and travel as required in Canada and US
