**LOCATION**:Hybrid. One to two days per week at corporate office in North York (Yonge and North York Centre) and remote work for the remainder. More time may be required in the office at the beginning to transition into the role.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
- Lead the monthly and year-end financial close process across multiple legal entities
- Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements for distribution to senior management
- Prepare, review and approve journal entries to the general ledger
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items
- Participate in and/or lead cross functional projects and corporate initiatives
- Provide support for annual financial statement audits and other operational reviews
- Coach and mentor direct reports; effectively manage staff workloads, monitor performance
- Support and assist in implementing process improvement initiatives
- Support the company’s treasury function
- Assist in compliance activities for bank covenants and associated reporting
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as required

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is required
- Post secondary degree in finance or accounting
- 3+ years progressive accounting experience
- Knowledge of full cycle accounting
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven experience managing employees or leading cross-functional projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the company
- Prior experience in audit and assurance considered an asset
- Experience with multiple legal entities considered an asset
- Experience working with US entities considered an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft GP considered an asset
