Join our team of Marketing and Business Development professionals who create winning proposals that strategically align with clients’ objectives and showcase the depth and breath of HPA’s experience.

We are looking for a Proposal Writer to join our talented and dynamic Business Development team.

As an integral member of the team, you will be reporting to the Director of Business Development and primarily be responsible for crafting high-quality proposal responses for our institutional and urban design studios as well as other marketing materials for our diverse client-facing needs.

Our core working hours are Mon to Fri 9:00 - 6:00, However; we do offer a hybrid and flexible work environment.

**As a Proposal Writer, you will**:

- Lead the development and production of compelling, compliant, and high-quality proposals and related presentations
- Develop, coordinate and manage the proposal process in all stages from opportunity identification, review and tracking to document submission and close-out
- Collaborate with both internal and external team members to identify, gather and refine the required pieces for a complete and competitive submission
- Work with graphic designers to create page layouts and interpretive graphics such as tables, maps, diagrams, etc.
- Manage multiple proposal processes as needed
- Create and maintain marketing collateral such as resumes, project sheets, references, as well as databases and spreadsheets
- Stay current in industry best practice standards for proposal development

**To help you in achieving your objectives you will have**:

- A Degree or a Diploma in Writing / Marketing/ Communications/or a related field is an advantage
- 4+ years of experience as a Proposal Writer or Specialist in an Architectural / Engineering / Construction industry
- Advanced skills in the proposal process including leading the preparation, production, and delivery of proposals
- Strong writing and editing skills - both creative and technical
- Experience in writing strategic and compelling stories
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign as a principal layout tool, and a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Multi-tasking skills on various projects in a deadline-oriented environment
- A strong interest in design, architecture, interior design and/ or urban planning

- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Etc.)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Particularly InDesign)
- CRM/Database experience is an asset
