**Supervisor, CDIP - Harm Reduction**

**Health Services - Public Health**

**Contract Full-Time; Duration: 13 Months**

**Salary Range: $94,424 -$118,028 per annum plus comprehensive benefits and vacation accrual**

**Work mode: On Site**

**Location: 7120 Hurontario Rd, Mississauga, ON**

**Hours of work: 35 hours per week**

**Reports To**:Manager, Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention

**What You Will Do**:

- Provides supervision, overseeing functions of the Peel Works Harm Reduction program
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias- Plans, develops, supervises, implements and evaluates Public Health programs mandated under the Ontario Public Health Standards by the Ministry of Health specifically related to Substance Use and Injury Prevention as well as the Foundational Standards and Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction Guideline- Ensures adherence to all relevant legislation- Supports and implements team/program, sectional, divisional, departmental, and corporate initiatives and priorities- Develops program objectives, policies and procedures consistent with a harm reduction philosophy- Recruits, onboards, supervises, motivates and mentors multidisciplinary staff- Prepares, administers and monitors budget and other transactions related to financial management- Liaises with other public health jurisdictions and community partners, e.g: community agencies, health care providers and other service providers- Plans, implements and evaluates health promotion strategies and clinical services using strategies to assure quality service delivery- Administers, co-ordinates and maintains relevant provincial and local data bases, e.g., the Ontario Harm Reduction Database, NEO- Performs after-hours management on-call duties on a rotational basis

**Educational Background/ Must Haves/Bonafide Job Requirements**:

- Baccalaureate Degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences or equivalent, and current professional certification where relevant
- Minimum three years’ experience in Public Health or social services
- Inclusive, courageous, motivational and results-driven leadership skills
- Advanced communication, time management, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
- Political awareness, tact and diplomacy
- Evidence-based problem-solving skils
