**NORTH BAY REGIONAL HEALTH CENTRE FOUNDATION
programs including Direct Mail, Monthly Giving, Tribute Programs (Grateful Family, Memorial, Tribute, Staff2Staff),
Internal Family Giving, and administrates the Annual Giving Committee. The Development Officer, Annual Programs
is responsible for engaging the internal and external community in its programs and will manage a portfolio of donors
and prospective donors, with the goal of developing relationships and raising funds in support of our hospital. As well,
this position will create content, manage and coordinate Foundation social media and communications. Specific key
duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Coordinating and executing a cost effective donor-centred direct mail program; researching, composing,
strategy development, segmenting, marketing, etc.

Managing four sub Tribute programs: Grateful Family, Memorial, General Tribute & Staff2Staff.Develop
marketing and communications strategies and materials to build engagement with our internal and external
community for tribute programs, for digital, social media, print and more.Donor Relations

Coordinating and supporting staff driven fundraising programs.

Provides staff support, coordination and leadership of the Annual Giving Committee.

Maintaining and enhancing longstanding relationships with donors ensuring donor stewardship metrics are
achieved.

Providing marketing support where needed such as posters, social media posts and online e-blast related to
its programs.

Executing communications strategies and social media strategies.

Liaising with volunteer committees, NBRHC Staff, NBRHC Foundation and Board members and committees
of the board.

Collaborating with Foundation staff, Volunteers, Hospital staff and external community.

Attending and participating in Foundation and community events, cheque presentations and special donor
events.

Researching and maintaining best practices.

Learning and following regulations - i.e lotteries, raffles, auctions.

**Qualifications
**

coursework in Fundraising & Resource Development, Marketing, Communications, Business
Administration and/or similar programs, or possesses relevant work and/or volunteer experience 

Knowledge and skills related to fundraising software (Blackbaud Raiser’s edge) an asset 
Knowledge and skills in social media, communications required 
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fundraising environment 
Experience in Not-for-Profit fundraising 
Excellent writing and communication skills 
Goal-oriented and able to work independently to achieve results 
Knowledge of MS Office suite including Work, Excel and PowerPoint, CANVA, Adobe 

Passion for healthcare philanthropy and community-based fundraising. Experience working in a

healthcare related and/or not-for-profit environment is considered an asset. 

Ability to model behavior that is aligned with the values of NBRHC Foundation of fulfilling donor

intent with the highest degree of accountability, transparency gratitude and ethics. 

Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks and competing priorities while ensuring

deadlines are met. 

Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet

deadlines and targets. 

Excellent public speaking and presentation skills (virtual, phone, in-person). 

Collaborative team member with the ability to build productive relationships and networks of

support. 

Excellent organization, planning and time management skills combined with a strong attention

to detail. 

Compelling writing skills with the ability to tailor messages to a variety of audiences. 

Goal-oriented and able to work independently to achieve results. 

Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers and staff. 

Experience supporting the fundraising success of volunteers. 

Ability to employ both traditional and creative fundraising techniques to identify prospects and

establish trusting relationships with prospects and donors who sometimes approach philanthropy

in a non-traditional manner. 

Knowledge and skills in social media. 

Strong computer skills and experience with fundraising databases. Experience with Raiser’s

Edge a definite asset. 

Must demonstrate commitment to ensure personal safety, safety of fellow workers, patients,

volunteers, and visitors 

Ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events

required 

Must demonstrate good attendance. 
Valid class G Driver’s License and Ministry of Transportation Driver’s Abstract required 
Access to a safe and reliable vehicle 
Bilingualism an asset.
