We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy student to join our team as a Web Specialist for the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, and content management. As a Web Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and supporting our marketing strategies.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Merchandizing New Products**:

- Utilize our cutting-edge custom Shopify back-end platform to manage and merchandize new products.
- Ensure product listings are accurate, visually appealing, and optimized for customer engagement.

**Content Management**:

- Assist in using AI tools to generate high-quality articles for our blog.
- Publish content to our website with a focus on improving SEO.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals.

**Marketing Strategy Support**:

- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance our digital marketing efforts.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns.

**Software and Tools**:

- **Shopify**: For managing and merchandizing products.
- **Canva**: For creating visually appealing graphics and marketing materials.
- **Photoshop**: For advanced image editing and design work.
- **WordPress**: For publishing and managing blog content.
- **SEMrush**: For SEO analysis and keyword research.
- **Ahrefs**: For backlink analysis and SEO performance tracking.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms, specifically Shopify, is a plus.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content creation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

**Eligibility Requirements**
- You are a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or a Protected Person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- You are registered or enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary education institution and are able to provide proof of full-time or part-time enrolment during placement
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada
- International students do not qualify for this role._

**Skills and Experience you will acquire while working in this role**:
**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in using Shopify for e-commerce management.
- Experience with Canva and Photoshop for graphic design.
- Content management and publishing using WordPress.
- SEO analysis and strategy development with SEMrush and Ahrefs.

- Practical knowledge of digital marketing strategies.
- Hands-on experience in content creation and optimization.
- Insights into developing and executing effective marketing plans.
