**Summer Youth Positions (8 weeks) - Commencing July 2023**

**Purpose**:
The Summer Youth positions will be responsible for providing assistance in the following position:
**Seniors Recreational Helper (1 position) - 35 hours per week**
- Provide assistance to staff with recreational activities for senior SCHC clients with dementia.

**Qualifications**:

- Between the ages of 15-18 at the beginning of the employment period
- Current student and returning to school in September 2023
- Experience or vested interest in fields mentioned above
- Have not previously participated in an employment service program
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in

Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of how to use computer programs (eg; publisher, excel, power point)
- Ability to work with a diverse populations and understanding of neighbourhood issues
- Subject to a police background check as per organization policy

**Remuneration**:$15.50 per hour
