**JOB SUMMARY**
- Resident Care is responsible for the planning, coordinated development, management and implementation of long term care home nursing and personal care activities, programs, services and initiatives to the residents of a municipal long term care facility.- You are responsible for providing a range of administrative and clerical support services for the nursing units of the home, with an emphasis on resident safety and engagement.**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Completion of Grade 12- Minimum of 3 years of office administration experience, 1 year of which relates to experience in Long Term Care and/or Health Administration Setting**KNOWLEDGE**
- Office and administrative management practices and procedures
- Records management practices, policies and procedures
- Project management practices, policies and procedures

- Supply management practices and procedures
**COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Set and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Maintain tracking systems for policies, procedures
- Implement and monitor administrative operating procedures

- Use microcomputers and software such as MS Windows, MS Outlook and Calendar, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Type at 60 words per minute

**WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW**
- You may initially be paid 95% of your starting rate of pay, in accordance with the collective agreement.
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
