Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to and acting under policies approved by the Manager of Nuclear Medicine, the incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient provision of secretarial/clerical support for the department, physicians and related areas.

Provides secretarial services to the:

- Section Head, Nuclear Medicine Manager, Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), NM physicians, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, and other Nuclear Medicine staff.
- Typing correspondence for Section Head of Nuclear Medicine, Staff personnel and composing routine correspondence and physician scheduling.
- Coordinating department meetings, making all arrangements including equipment and catering. Taking meeting minutes and distributing accordingly.
- Ordering, processing, and maintaining records on stock and non-stock supplies, trust accounts, schedules, weekly payroll submissions, and department files.
- Responsible for payroll for the Nuclear Medicine/PET CT department and coverage of other areas as assigned.
- Miscellaneous clerical duties.

**Experience**:

- Two years’ experience in a comparable position required.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized post-secondary administrative assistant program required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
- Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
- Medical terminology preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Incumbent must exercise general precautions when lifting/moving stock items.
- Deadlines must be met, causing stress and tension.
- May be exposed to ionizing radiation (which will be kept as low as reasonably achievable) and/or to disagreeable elements such as contagious diseases/stressful patients.
