**As this position is funded by a grant, participants need to identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) and must be currently residing within the Greater Toronto Area.**

**Summary of Function**:
**DUTIES**:
**_ Planning & Execution _**
- Able to support the daily delivery of School Visits program onsite at Harbourfront Centre;
- Able to participate in job shadowing, training and if comfortable, teaching of programs in Indigenous Studies portfolio; possibility to explore training in other artistic disciplines as per interest and business need
- Able to work with the School Visits team to refine existing programs in Indigenous Studies.
- Able to work with the Recreational Learning team to support the delivery of Summer Camp 2023 and March Break Camps 2024
- Assist other team members as required

**_Content Development _**
- Able to develop training resources to support School Visits Educators in their understanding and connection to Indigenous content
- Able to distribute Indigenous Voices content (monthly internal professional development series for staff), including selection of resource(s), communication to staff members about upcoming sessions, preparation of key questions and/or discussion points for session and support facilitate of sessions
- Able to support content development for our Indigenous Resources Internal SharePoint site to support staff members
- Able to support Education staff members in development of annual Orange Shirt Day programming
- Able to review and refine Indigenous content in all School Visits programs with a critical lens to program positioning and content
- Able to support School Visits team in the development of Creative Edge and/or ad-hoc programming that responds to the needs of the division and organization

**_Customer Service_**
- Able to provide exceptional customer service to all visiting school groups, teachers, students, campers and/or camp families;
- Willing to support the Registrar, School Visits in processing of School Visits registrations through our Artifax database

**_Communications _**
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing with teachers to ensure they are prepared and supported before, during and after the delivery of programming (online and onsite);
- Able to respond to the needs of visiting school groups through clear verbal and written communication;
- Able to support delivery of monthly Indigenous Voices staff professional development sessions;
- Willing to liaise with departments and outside groups to support implementation and renewal of Education programs with Indigenous content
- Able to prepare a monthly report to Miziwe Biik, outlining tasks, key skill development and hours worked as per the agreement for this position

**Requirements**:

- Some post-secondary education focusing on Education and/or the Arts, or relevant work experience in an Education setting.
- Some experience working with children and youth, particularly in an arts-based setting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time and stress management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work in a team environment
- Abie to ensure student safety during an emergency procedure
- A Criminal Background Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Dayforce, Google Meet and Zoom considered an asset
