Action Collections & Receivables Management is one of the fastest growing collection agencies in Canada. Due to our ongoing success and growth we are in the process of expanding our Collection call center in Toronto, Ontario.
We are conveniently located at Steeles Ave and Victoria Park and currently provide collection services to a broad range of Canadian corporations. Our clients include many of Canada’s largest banks, leasing companies, utilities and government sectors that have come to rely on ACRM for proven results and assistance in managing their portfolios by controlling delinquency and increasing recoveries.
**ACRM is seeking a Third Party Collections Supervisor**
**Job Purpose**:
To oversee the operations of the collection floor, including but not limited to ensuring targets are set and hit, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations and corporate standards, policies and procedures.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Hiring, training and development of collection staff
- Assisting staff with the collection of their files
- Responsible for overall staff development, including disciplinary actions and/or terminations of employees in coordination with Human Resources and Compliance Teams
- Ensuring that internal company daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets are met
- Ensuring that client daily, weekly and monthly targets are met
- Ensuring that all staff is trained and adhering to all company policies and procedures along with the work plans and directives set by the clients themselves
- All staff is compliant in their collection efforts
- Coordinating with the CEO and Director of Operations to set the collection targets, based on client, company and collection staff ability
- File Auditing, Collector Auditing and Call Monitoring
- Coordinating with HR Department regarding any issues, new hires, terminations, etc.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
This position has supervisory responsibilities of an assigned collection team.
**Skills/Qualifications**
- Negotiating Skills, Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Multi-Tasking, Documentation Skills, Listening, Phone Skills, Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information
- Time Management
**Must possess 5 years plus experience as a Team Leader or in a Supervisory Role in a 3rd party collection environment.**
**Language Skills**:
Perfect command of the English language.
Ability to read and interpret instructional materials such as policy guides,
rules and compliance manuals in addition to analysis of client performance
and productivity reports.
Ability to write routine reports and short correspondence and memos
Ability to present ideas and speak effectively in one-on-one and group settings
**Mathematical Skills**:
Ability to add, subtract, calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and percentages as they relate to Canadian monetary values.
**Reasoning Ability**:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information and facts are available
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral and schedule form
