MacEwan University is seeking to fill a full-time continuing opportunity as a Student Conduct Officer with our Student Life department. Reporting to the Manager of Student Success, the Office of Student Conduct is responsible for conducting fair, equitable, timely, and transparent investigations that align with university standards and comply with the Student Non-Academic Misconduct policy and the Investigative Framework. Working directly with students, faculty, and staff, you will help to resolve disciplinary situations with students while promoting a safe working and learning environment for all.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting investigations;
- Assisting the Office of Investigations in the facilitation of student complaints, through the complaint intake process and the direction of the complaint to the appropriate Supervisor, Manager, Director, Chair, Associate Dean/Dean and Human Resources Representative;
- Providing reports to the Associate Vice-President of Students, or their delegate, with findings and recommendations for disciplinary action upon the completion of investigations;
- Facilitating the delivery of the outcomes of investigations to the involved parties and offering referrals to campus support resources;
- Collaborating, coordinating, and consulting with involved parties when non-academic incidents are under investigation for the purpose of maintaining high institutional standards;
- Developing resources and materials to promote the Office of Student Conduct and its procedures for the campus community;
- Developing educational opportunities to support the student conduct process and enhance good citizenship education for students interacting with the office;
- Coordinating access to campus support resources;
- Advising the University Community regarding policy areas related to student discipline;
- Consulting and coordinating as needed with the Office of Investigations, Security Services, Deans’ Offices, Residence, the Sexual Violence Response Coordinator, Academic Integrity Office and other University Offices;
- Maintaining confidential records of non-academic misconduct investigations and reports;
- Preparing annual reports of student non-academic misconduct activity for the Associate Vice-President of Students; and
- Preparing notice of investigation summaries, issuing interim measures, writing comprehensive decision letters, and performing other case management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a baccalaureate degree.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in student conduct or a related field in a post-secondary environment.
