The Operations Manager is a vital position that supports the company's operations while developing successful relationships with our customers and staff.

**Job description**
- Recognize, identify, and qualify business opportunities that will promote Battlefield and its image to customers;
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain a personable, hard-working, and dedicated attitude in a fast-paced, high-tempo work environment;
- Strengthen and train the rental management team within your region;
- Oversee Regional Logistics to improve our customer service delivered while reducing our freight expense;
- Oversee the industrial on-site Project Leads and provide support during industrial shut downs and be visible to proactively identifying and resolving potential issues;
- When required, participate in key account selling, account collections and dispute resolution;
- Analysis of all income figures to develop sales strategies;
- Work in parallel with Sales
- Service to improve region’s repair line and equipment availability;
- Analysis of ROI and activity on equipment to determine transfers and product mix and individual branches;
- Review of financial statements and margin reports with managers. Monitor and inspect branches, yards, facilities, staff members, and fleet;
- Direction of collection efforts with Branch Managers for A/R and dispute resolution, including customer engagement where required;
- Assist in preparing financial budgets and quarterly re-forecasting;
- Monitor budgets, as well as short and long term planning, in order to meet or exceed set goals;
- Input and evaluation with respect to customer pricing and discounts, hiring and terminations, wages and bonus levels, promotions and local advertising;
- Other duties as assigned, including;
- Ability to provide vacation coverage for branch counter employees, for regional dispatch, and branch managers as needed;
- Review and maintenance of regional stocking for new, fleet, and saleable items;
- Participation in and the preparation for all inventory counts.

**Key qualifications**
- Five or more years of Equipment Rental Branch Manager experience, or equivalent;
- Proficiency/prior experience with Systematics would be considered an asset;
- Technical aptitude of CAT equipment and operations would be considered an asset.
- Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products;
- Previous experience in a related field;
- A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills;
- Professional customer service, and good communication;
- Effectively work within a team environment;
- A clean driver's abstract is required with the ability to travel as required within New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
- Must reside in Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton.
