**About the Project**:
The project is located in THIRD ST Nanaimo and consists of a three-story apartment building with an approximate area of 40,000 square feet. It includes a basement parking lot of around 10,000 square feet and 31 condo units with wood framing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budget
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Utilize construction management software such as Fieldwire to track project milestones and communicate updates to the team
- Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets industry standards
- Supervise and provide guidance to on-site staff, including laborers, carpenters, and other tradespeople
- Prepare and present progress reports to clients or upper management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in construction supervision or project management role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including blueprint reading, estimating, and budgeting
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Fieldwire
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
