**What will you work on?**

The **Assistant Brand Manager** is a key member of the Canadian marketing team that will support the Commercial team in developing and executing best in class marketing Media plans and portfolio management. In this role, you will assist on the activities you are accountable for and will have direct responsibility for 1-2 specific brands(50% of focus supporting Melissa Doug, 15% on another portfolio, 35% on supporting full portfolio needs). This role would give you the opportunity to coordinate cross-functional team efforts. This role reports into the Sr. Director of Marketing.

**How will you create impact?**
- Support all marketing activities including (but not limited to) Media Plans, Preparing Retailer Presentations, public relations, and tools required for trade shows/toy fairs.
- Collaborate with the Brand Managers on the annual marketing plans Media plans.
- Ability to bring a level of analytical thinking to SKU Portfolio: research and analysis for the business unit including pricing, costing, profitability analysis, digital marketing analysis, competitive analysis, and sales analysis for Key brands.
- Competitive analysis for Canada by monitoring and analyzing market share trends, sales volumes, and competition.
- Develop and execute marketing and brand strategies and implement plans on new and existing brands in conjunction with Senior Brand Manager
- Lead small set of low-complexity products and assist in managing projects related to greater product development activities
- Support category and consumer research by helping to develop research materials and product samples
- Present new product launches to internal sales team and retailer partners
- Manage marketing spending within approved budget through participation in annual planning process, and ongoing tracking of spending throughout the year
- Liaise with other departments such as sales, Global Brand Teams, operations and other teams.
- Assist in the development and implementation of promotional initiatives to ensure the increase in sales within budgeted parameters.
- Identify and generate business development ideas and collaborate with team members to implement the plans.
- Provide support to the Shopper Marketing Manager as needed to ensure we have best in class in store experiences.
- Assist in the execution of media plans

**What are your skills and experience?**
- Consumer product brand management experience in a fast paced environment.
- Preferably working on Brands
- Understanding of the Canadian Media landscape.
- Understanding of Media Planning
- Strong understanding of Canadian Retail Ecomm
