Culinary Chef

Global Gourmet Foods is a division of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (TSX: PBH) which owns a broad range of leading specialty food manufacturing and differentiated food distribution businesses with operations.
We are seeking dynamic individuals that can work as part of the Culinary Team working under the Corporate Chef.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for creating and demonstrating recipes and food ideations based on insights and customer requirements
- Continuously research the market and stay ahead of consumer trends and recommend new products, with identify market niches and opportunities
- Provide feedback to R&D on product, formulate new recipes and improve the existing ones
- Work closely with production on new products and ensure the proper execution which includes training for production workers
- Provide customer and sales support in presentations to Customers. This will involve some travel
- Follow internal process on a timely basis to document recipes from initial R&D stage to commercialization
- Cultivate relationships with culinary peers at the customer level
- Support the development of product concepts and prototypes as required by assigned businesses
- Attend customer events (foodshows, etc.) to represent the Company's capabilities and solutions including food preparation and demonstration
- Sell ideas and influence solutions with a variety of organizational functions
- Translate food and nutrition strategies in food styling management and photo assessment
- Develop well-written and customer-driven food ideas and package directions using established formats and styles
- Work alongside with Sales leadership and with multi-unit accounts (not limited to) to assist in the development recipes and presentation
- Drive strategies to achieve corporate goals and objectives, and improve profitability, plus strategize with Account Manager / Sales Team on any new opportunities and formulate a plan for presentation
- Participate weekly meeting with Sales Team and Senior Management for ideas and updates
- Work with senior management to help define customer and product development objectives for the Company
- Assist with the implementation of any new systems to enhance and improve the existing system and process
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed
**Minimum Requirement**:
- Red Seal Chef ticket
- Strong knowledge in food chemistry, microbiology, sanitation and nutrition
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Familiar with chain account kitchen and/ or culinary product development
- Previous experience in Account Management or National Sales highly preferred
- Excellent communication and strong relationship building skills
- Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented and organized team player
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proven results of delivering client solutions and strong passion for problem solving
- Confident in skills without an ego that compromises Teamwork and the pursuit of best solutions
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
