Our company is passionate about enriching the health of Canadians through am interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitative care. This is at the heart of everything we do, and we are seeking a **Medical Office Assistant **who shares this same philosophy.
The MOA acts as the primary point of contact for patients and doctors and is accountable for providing a consistently excellent level of customer service and care to all patients.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Performing a wide variety of front desk, customer service and administrative duties.
- Managing physiotherapy schedules, cancellation lists, creating patient charts and updating demographics
- Communicating with legal representatives regarding patient appointments and file updates
- Collecting payments in-person as well as sending virtual invoices to patients for treatment
- Booking new referrals in a timely manner and coordinating schedules across the clinic.
- Explaining and ensuring all patients understand their treatment plans, procedures or assessments and the relative costs involved.
- Administer and process patient information, referrals, requisitions, prescriptions.
- Assisting patients to rooms for their appointment, assessment and/or procedures.
- Requesting previous charts, images and/or reports from other facilities where these are required for interpretation, support and/or diagnosis by the therapist, specialist or doctor.
- Responding and following upon requests from other facilities for reports.
- Assisting with medical legal requests and report processing.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Outstanding phone etiquette and a positive attitude are essential to this role.
- Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and can act as a team player.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize changing workloads and schedule variances.
- Excellent communication skills (auditory, written, and verbal).
- Ability to speak/read/write fluent English is a requirement.
- Minimum 2 years’ receptionist experience delivering exceptional customer service in a face-to-face environment.
- Certification as a Health Information Office Assistant or Medical Office Assistant is an asset.
- Billing experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in working at a medical clinic or diagnostic imaging clinic is an asset.
- Must be able to work onsite at the Mississauga location primarily. Assistance at our North York location may be required time-to-time.

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour
