Seeking a General Maintenance Specialist for our Niagara portfolio of Commercial and Residential properties. We are a busy property management company looking for a reliable, hard-working, and devoted member to join our team
**_What you will be doing: _**
- Providing exceptional customer service and responding to the needs of the Tenants, Property
Managers and Owners
- Manage periodic and on-going Maintenance Programs
- Winter exterior maintenance o Plowing parking lots o Shovelling areas not accessible by plow, and sidewalk/entranceway areas o Salting of parking lots and walkways
- General maintenance o Assessment of maintenance issues and determining efficient solutions o Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and electrical work o Painting and patchwork o Minor carpentry and drywall o Minor repairs as required
- Exterior clean-up and maintenance of properties including window cleaning
- Lawn maintenance where required
- Mitigating risks and ensuring of safety protocols
- Coordinating and assisting with larger renovations of properties
- Organizing and coordinating with 3rd party contractors and tradespeople
**_What you bring to the team: _**
- Solve problems and provide solutions
- The ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely
- The ability to lift heavy objects
- A valid Driver’s Licence (minimum of Class G), maintained in good standing
- Past use of a vehicle snowplow
- General “handyman” maintenance and construction skills
- Ability to take direction well
- Ability to think on your feet and make decisions
- a Secondary School Graduation Diploma;
- a minimum of twelve (12) months related experience including building maintenance and customer service
**_Other information: _**
General supplies and truck will be provided. This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm plus on-call hours that includes some evenings, weekends and holidays.
This is a salary position with a wage of $40,000-$45,000 (based on experience) + bonus and incentives.
