Job Overview:
Jal Designs & Graphics Inc. is looking for an Embroidery Machine Operator to join their team. We offer a friendly, small office work environment, with an opportunity to train in other departments.
Job Duties:
- Operate two Tajima multi-head embroidery machines;
- Repair minor mechanical problems such as broken or defective needles;
- Hooping and running garments, including hoodies, t-shirts, hats;
- Setting up machines for each job;
- Cutting embroidered garment backs;
- Maintaining an inventory of garments for each job;
- Track and order embroidery supplies as required;
- Operate heat press machine;
- Keeping work area clean and tidy;
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working multi-head embroidery machine is an asset, but not required;
- Will train the right person;
- Sewing experience is an asset;
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Attention to detail and a desire to produce quality work;
- Basic computer knowledge;
- Communicate effectively and have excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to work with various products (t-shirts), hoodies, jerseys, bags etc.);
- Ability to problem solve minor machine issues and thread breaks.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
