The Suburban Newspaper

The Suburban has won numerous Quebec, Canada-wide and international awards for its top-notch editorials, news coverage, sports reporting, photography, opinions, community activism, feature stories and editorial cartooning. The Suburban is a repeat winner in the Quebec Community Newspaper Awards’ (QCNA) best overall newspaper category, and the first Canadian winner of the Suburban Newspapers of America’s (SNA) best community service award.

The Suburban has also kept up with the times by continually implementing new innovations, including putting the entire newspaper online as a digital e-edition, and expanding its website to include much more content, including videos and webcasts.

Today, The Suburban has a print circulation of 65,000 copies and is the largest English-language newspaper in Quebec.
- Develop and present advertising campaigns, strategies and budgets to existing and potential advertisers
- Sell and up-sell advertising contracts to existing and potential advertisers
- Sell non-traditional newspaper projects, including niche publications, commercial print and advertising, digital advertising, special sections and special events
- Assist with design and layout of sold and spec ads to meet clients’ advertising needs

Prior experience in a similar job is strongly preferred. Valid drivers license required.
