**The opportunity**:
The Accounting instructor position is to plan, organize and deliver curricula to international students in an instructor led environment. The Accounting Instructor will be responsible to teach and facilitate courses to classes of international students in the **Global Business Management post-graduate certificate program**, **Business Program, International Business Program**. The instructor will evaluate student performance relating to the curricula using a variety of assessments. The instructor will assist with activities to support student success, including industry liaison and administrative functions where required.

The Accounting instructor will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Review and follow the instructors course guideline which includes the course learning and vocational outcomes, alignment table, evaluation breakdown, daily summary plan and the daily lesson plan.
- Prepare lecture/lab and class materials as required.
- Keep the students engaged by developing and/or utilizing a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning styles of students.
- Administer assessments using the LMS platform.
- Ensure students are meeting academic guidelines and communicate progress to the International Education Manager according to the college written procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest accounting trends and technologies to enhance the learning experience.

**What you bring to the position**:

- Degree in Accounting is required.
- Professional accounting designation CPA is preferred.
- A master’s in accounting, finance or business is required.
- A degree or diploma in adult education is considered an asset.
- Understanding of Adult Learning Principles is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting role is required.
- Teaching experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Knowledge of D2L Brightspace or another Learning Management System is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online Software is preferred.
