**The IT System Specialist is responsible for maintaining and upgrading all IT related items. This position requires high attention to detail and confidentiality as well as a proactive mindset.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES***
- Install, configure, and maintain system hardware and software throughout company.
- Assess, diagnose, and resolve IT system and equipment performance issues.
- Create and manage service requests and incidents from staff through the on-line ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues via phone, remotely, and in-person.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and training to staff.
- Oversee the performance of LANs, WANs, Internet, and other network segments.
- Repair printers, laptops, desk-tops and other PC hardware equipment.
- Conduct onsite training for clients as required.
- Assist with on-going employee desk position changes, additions and changes to computer requirements.
- Identify and suggest possible improvements to current procedures.
- Creating technical SOPs and troubleshooting guides.
- Create user accounts, resetting passwords adding and removing computers from the Active Directory.
- Cell phone distribution to employees and provide ongoing support.
- Monitor systems to identify potential errors and areas for improvement.
- Provide satellite office support to multiple locations.
- Provide back-up support to the primary IT specialist.
- Assist with other IT related duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Computer Systems Technology Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience required.

**WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ABILITY**
- Indoor working environment
- Ability to remain seated for long durations
- Ability to exert up to 22.7 kg of force
