We are currently seeking an Accounting Support Clerk for a one year (possibly extended) maternity leave coverage position. If you are a highly motivated, self-starting, team player and have a proven successful background in accounting and administration support, we want to hear from you

**Scope of the Position**

The Accounting Support Clerk will be involved in multiple facets of the company’s operations including:

- Paperwork processing and verification;
- Delivery coordination among departments;
- Database updates and setup;
- Ongoing account administration support;
- Receivables support including contacting customers regarding past due payments and negociating payment arrangements;
- Insolvency database updates and paperwork processing;
- Basic accounting functions including transaction processing and posting;
- Accounts Payable Support;
- Document scanning as required;
- Filing; and
- General administrative duties.

**Credentials and Experience**:

- Previous accounting, administration, and/or collections experience preferable but not required.
- You have obtained your Accounting or Business Administration diploma.
- You are looking for a career in a company that rewards results.
- You have strong computer skills, including a demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You have the ability to multitask and have proven organizational and time management skills.
- You possession strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You enjoy working with technology.
- You enjoy a fast-paced environment.
- You have a strong sense of urgency and ability to effectively shift priorities as required.
- You have a valid driver’s licence.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: From $35,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

**Experience**:

- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's Licence (required)
