**Position Title**
- Administrative Support Casual Pool**Position Summary**
- Red Deer Polytechnic is looking for individuals with a range of administrative experience and who enjoy working in a variety of different environments to become part of our Casual Administrative Support pool.

The administrative support pool staff are hired on an as needed basis for casual coverage usually for short term absences or temporary positions. Flexibility is required as you may be phoned on short notice, and the number of days you may be required will be variable. The hours of work will primarily be between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, but can vary. Hours are not guaranteed.

- What your availability is**Position Responsibilities**
- You will perform a wide variety of administrative support services, ranging from routine to complex, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the division you may be assigned to. The job tasks differ depending on the area in which you are placed and may include reception, administrative support, data entry, file management, meeting logistics, and other duties as needed.**Required Qualifications**- Certificate in related area such as Administrative Professional or Business Administration
- Minimum of one year of related experience or a combination or education and experience may be considered
- Strong proofreading and grammar skills
- Experience preparing agendas, minutes, letters, and other correspondence maybe required
- Appreciation for and understanding of protocol, discretion, and professionalism, able to accept and assume responsibility, and the ability to interpret and make decisions in accordance with prescribed procedures and practices

**Preferred Qualifications**- Diploma in related area
- Strong client service and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people and to adapt quickly to new environments
