**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Student Financial Services Manager, the SFS Scholarship and Bursary Officer responsibilities support the success of students through the coordination and administration of scholarships, bursaries and awards along with the provision of advisory and consultative financial services.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinates and administers scholarships, bursaries and other forms of student financial assistance.
- Establishes selection committees, meetings and prepares associated documentation to finalize award recipients.
- Monitors the budget for bursaries, including forecasting and recommendations of expenditures.
- Updates the Centennial College financial aid webpage, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Reviews, evaluates, and approves scholarship records to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Collaborates with various internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial payments.
- Prepares statistics and metrics reports on scholarship and bursary performance.
- Assesses scholarships provided by external organizations that have expressed interest in Centennial’s student body.
- Provides training and support to staff and students on scholarship and bursary programs and procedures.
- Assists with the administrative operations of the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- 3-year Business Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience in similar fields.
- 3 years of experience in Business including Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Data Management, Administration, Commerce.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP, Ellucian BANNER, Peoplesoft).
- Demonstrated experience interacting and communicating with a diverse client base with conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated experience of computer programs such as M365 Office Suite.
- Experience working within a post-secondary institution preferred.
- Experience with Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and Student Financial Aid preferred.
- Experience with ONe-Key, Ellucian BANNER, AiSMartR, UMBRACO and the preferred.
- Proven ability to maintain the strictest confidence regarding student data (in accordance with college policies and procedures and with the Ontario’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act), and commitment to protecting the security of information systems access codes.
- Ability to interact and communicate respectfully with a multi-cultural customer base and in dealing effectively with conflict.
