**Company Description**:
**FIXED ASSETS (TANGIBLE/INTANGIBLE/RIGHT OF USE)**

Oversee & review the monthly capitalization and creation of all assets and sub-assets.

Oversee & review the monthly depreciation postings.

Perform the annual impairment review process and process the subsequent findings.

Oversee & review the Depreciation Reasonability Check on a monthly.

Monthly Analysis of Actuals versus Budget/Latest Estimate.

Monitor monthly the Assets Under Construction (AUC).

Reconcile fixed assets sub-ledger to the fixed assets general ledger & perform monthly roll-forward.

Perform Disposals when necessary in the system and track externally in excel.

Update the Schedule 8 for Tax Reporting of Capital Cost Allowance (CCA).

Stats Canada Capex Survey(s).

**TAXES**

VAT: Review and/or prepare the various government vat filings (monthly, quarterly).

Monitor changes in vat rates and reflect in ERP system(s), along with communication.

Income tax: Review and/or perform Monthly Corporate instalments.

Prepare the annual tax return(s) delivering numerous schedules to 3P Provider.

Completion of monthly tax submission to HQ.

Preparation & Compilation of the monthly schedule re Non Deductibles.

Completion of tax submission to HQ for the planning cycles (Budget/Latest Estimate).

Ecology: Review and/or prepare various monthly government ecology tax filings.

Assist in the annual audit of the various provinces.

Monitor changes in these and reflect in ERP system(s), along wit communication.

Transfer Price: Assist in the compilations of the annual document (with HQ & 3P Provider).

General: Ensuring various rates are correct inside our two ERP systems & T&E system (Concur).

Reviewing GL postings for missed/incorrect tax postings.

**PAYROLL**

Review semi monthly payroll for accuracy & complete subsequent SAP upload.

Review & or the completion of the various provincial WCB submissions (payments, filings, etc).

Review & or the completion of the annual returns as a result of final T4’s (ONT EHT, PQ RL1, WCB’s).

Circulation of various tax forms to 3P Payroll provider.

Review final payroll registers for issuance of T4’s.

Review & or the completion of the annual T2200’s for various employees.

Review & or the completion of the final taxable benefits schedule for 3P Payroll provider.

Review & or complete the tax posting impact on taxable benefits.

Assist with inquiries from employees and or government agencies.

Review & or complete the postings for monthly benefits from 3P Benefit Provider.

**FINANCIAL REPORTING**

Assistance and involvement with Financial Audit (Q3/Q4).

Review & or perform monthly account reconciliations.

Review & or the completion of Stats Canada Survey’s.

Monitor IFRS updates and its impact on internal reporting.

Completion of various schedules for Year end reporting (including Financial Statements.

SAP Maintenance; reporting hierarchies, new accounts, annual testing, etc.

**OTHER ACTIVITIES**

Team Leadership; Provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentorship to develop and motivate a high-performance team, including hiring, training, goal setting and succession management.

Business Partner; Strong Business partnership attitude across organization.

Perform initial finance onboardings to all new employees.

Provide support, training and refreshers to the other departments regarding company standards, policies & procedures.

Team player in a multi-cultural environment with strong interpersonal skills.

You’re highly organized with a keen eye for detail, a high level of business maturity and solid decision-making skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an outstanding level of integrity.

Ability to resolve complex issues and unforeseen obstacles quickly and efficiently.

**Qualifications**:
8 + years in an accounting environment covering corporate functions listed above.

3+ years prior experience as a people manager.

Ability to meet strict and demanding deadlines.

Strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Strong analytical skills and being able to Multi
- task.

Proficiency in MS excel, MS Word, PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of SAP & or other similar ERP systems.

Due to the sensitive nature on some aspects of the role, strict confidentiality must be maintained.

Post-Secondary Education in Business (Accounting/Finance).

CPA designation &/or near completion.
