**PROGRAM MANAGER**

The Ottawa-Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (OCAPDD)/Open Hands has an exciting opportunity for the position of Program Manager.

OCAPDD/Open Hands is a leader in the Developmental Services sector in Ontario, supporting over 900 people with developmental disabilities to successfully live in the communities of Ottawa & Cornwall. This support is provided by a dedicated team of over 650 employees.

This is a role for an individual seeking interesting challenges in Residential Program Management, able to demonstrate your comfort and experience managing in a unionized environment. You lead with inspiration and negotiate with fairness, while staying focused on the objectives of the organization’s vision and core values. You want to make a difference in a sector that positively affects people’s lives on a daily basis.

If you are the right professional for this role, you will prove to be a good fit as a member of our management team. You will report directly to the Director or Supports and Services in Cornwall, and your key areas of responsibility will include ensuring quality services are provided to the individuals who reside in the homes, including: ISSP planning and implementation; fostering person centred practices; leading staff teams; promoting a positive workplace environment; managing the operations and activities of the home to comply with all Ministry regulations and OCAPDD policies and procedures; managing program budgets, monitoring documentation in the database; providing staff supervision and performance evaluations and maintaining a high degree or professionalism.

You are a seasoned professional with innovative and resourceful approaches to problem solving. You have a proven record of accomplishments from at least 5 years in progressively responsible positions in management. You function equally well working independently and in collaboration with others.

You have excellent communication skills, preferably in both official languages, and possess a post-secondary degree in Developmental Services, Social Services or equivalent. A high degree of computer literacy and functionality will be considered assets. You also have effective interpersonal and organizational skills. The use of a personal automobile will be required for the position.
