The Governance and Curriculum Services office provides research, policy analysis and development, and records management functions for the governing body of the Faculty, ensuring strict confidentiality. The office has two main areas, Governance; and Academic Integrity and Petitions.

The Governance area provides for formal secretariat support to meetings of Faculty Council and its standing committees, ensuring governance bodies have the necessary information to engage in substantive discussions and to make informed decisions.

The Academic Integrity and Petitions area manages appeals tribunals, the pre-hearing preparation of student appeals fileson academic standing, the inclusion of documents or other evidence and the jurisdiction of governance bodies to hear an appeal. Student Academic Integrity intakes and reviews all cases and ensures that hearings and decisions are based on principles of natural justice and administrative law.

**Your opportunity**:
The Coordinator prepares case files to be assessed within SAI, ensuring completeness of information, and creating a high-level summary for the Academic Integrity Specialist or for the Associate Director who will process thecase. The Coordinator also maintains the integrity of electronic data with respect to case files forwarded either for processing or for information, and reviews the flow of cases within the office, informing the Associate Director as needed if there are any problems or delays. The Coordinator assists in extracting data regarding case histories and statistics as requested by the Associate Director and the Director, Faculty Governance. The Coordinator also maintain regular updates to web content and education materials on behalf of the Associate Director and the Academic Integrity Specialists, and supports the office in conducting presentations to students and staff around academic integrity

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Providing detailed information on processes, policies, and procedures
- Resolving minor complaints within the scope of the role and referring larger issues when appropriate
- Scheduling appointments
- Writing routine documents and correspondence
- Creating and updating records
- Verifying the integrity of records
- Providing basic support and general referrals to individuals in distress

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years in an academic administration environment with specific experience in responding to enquires related to student academic integrity
- Demonstrated experience working closely with students or clients in a service and explaining detailed procedures capacity
- Experience working collaboratively with instructors/faculty, and senior/peer administrators to achieve excellence in service, especially student service and academic support.
- Experience dealing with codes of academic conduct
- Demonstrated experience presenting to diverse groups
- Experience identifying students in distress, and making referrals when needed
- Experience extracting, compiling data; preparing statistical reports and presenting analytical data
- Experience using content management system (CMS) and ROSI, or related systems, and knowledge of basic HTML, are assets
- Experience with updating and maintaining a website
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in providing welcoming and responsive client service whether in person, on the phone, or in electronic communications
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrated skills in writing and editing readable, written instructional/informational resources in print and on the web for a variety of audiences
- Experience using content management system (CMS) and ROSI, or related systems,and knowledge of basic HTML, are assets
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Demonstrated skills in data management
