**Purpose**:
**Education**:
College diploma required. Diploma/degree in business, finance, administration or related field an asset or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.

**Experience**:
2 years minimum of recent related experience in a high-volume student services and/or financial services area. Experience in a university and/or legal environment is an asset. Budgetary and customer service experience required.

**Skills**:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Lotus Notes. advanced computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint. Proficiency with updating and maintaining websites. web searching and internet navigation proficiency. willingness to learn new technology.
Experience tracking and reconciling funds.
knowledge and understanding of student government loan programs, including OSAP and out-of-province loan programs
Strong interpersonal and listening skills
Able to maintain confidentiality and to deal tactfully and effectively with difficult and sensitive situations and to exercise discretion as required.
Sensitivity to race, ethnicity, religion, culture, disability, sexual and gender diversity.
Ability to deal professionally and patiently with students, staff, faculty, and members of the public and represent the Law School in a professional manner.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Highly developed organizational skills, with ability to work independently in an unstructured and sometimes high pressure environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Punctuality, reliability and the ability to multi-task and prioritize, within prescribed deadlines, is essential to successfully perform this position.
Ability to understand and explain student, university and government financial policies and procedures to others.
