**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a chef’s assistant to join our team in a unique, corporate environment. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients.
- Assisting in the preparation of cooking and cleaning for daily company lunches, company events; such as but not limited to, corporate outings, etc.
- Label, stock and rotate all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Replenishing snacks, maintain smoothie bar and help prepare and execute lunch service (attending to drinks, stock kitchen, receive orders, etc)
- Basic cooking knowledge and knife skills
- Assisting the chef in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
- Being mindful of staff allergies, food restrictions and dietary restrictions
- Complies with special food handling requirements for certain dishes such as vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

**Skill Requirements**:

- Highschool diploma or equivalent; training from a culinary school is an asset
- Knowledge of food, health and safety regulations
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking utensils, tools and equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Demonstrates excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Enthusiastic, creative and outgoing in a professional manner
