**About this role**:
Wells Fargo is seeking a French Canadian Translator/Linguist (internally know as Senior Business Execution Consultant) for the In-Language Customer Experience team with the Chief Operating Office.

This role is based in our Montreal office.

**In this role, you will**:

- Translate, review, proof, and validate content in context as applicable while adhering to strict style guides, terminology, deadlines, and procedures
- Conduct post-translation review for language accuracy and consistency, reporting defects, and verifying fixes
- Support the Linguistic Manager and In-Language Customer Experience Team on ad hoc projects as needed
- Respond to client feedback, analyzing legal and/or compliance feedback provided, acting as a liaison to settle any pending issues, and verifying feedback implementation by vendors
- Address linguistic queries and consultations on a daily basis from internal clients and vendors/third party language service providers

**Required Qualifications**:

- 4+ years of Translations/Communications, Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bilingual speaking, reading and writing proficiency in French Canadian/English

**Desired Qualifications**:

- 4+ years of experience as a professional translator and editor or proofreader, translating, reviewing and providing feedback on marketing, finance, legal and banking material, targeting French Canadian-speaking audiences
- 3+ years of verifiable professional experience translating / transcreating creative content (such as marketing and public relation communication content)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
- Strong project management skills
- Solid problem solving skills
- Expertise in transcreating that connects emotionally and is culturally appropriate with the target audience in French Canadian
- Bachelor's degree in French translation or linguistics
- ATA or similar industry certification
- A diplomatic and professional approach to providing and receiving feedback and critiques
- Willingness to look beyond the day-to-day work and seek out opportunities and understand big pictures
- Ability to collaborate in a virtual team environment and develop effective relationships with both internal clients and external vendors
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a time-sensitive and deadline-driven environment
- Adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, and the willingness to constantly learn new things
- Experience with Computer Assisted Translation and Terminology tools (such as Wordfast, Studio, SDLX, Trados, MultiTerm, etc.)
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and other common content tools
- Experience with translation management systems (SDL TMS or WorldServer)
- Experience with translation and terminology management tools (Trados Studio, WorldServer, SDLX, or equivalent)
- Experience using Internet-based resources such as dictionaries and glossaries
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization

**Job Expectations**:

- Must take and pass required language assessment
- Must be able to report to a physical office on a hybrid schedule

Ce poste est basé dans nos bureaux de Montréal.

**Dans le cadre de ce poste, vous devrez**:

- traduire, réviser, corriger et valider le contenu en contexte, le cas échéant, en respectant des guides stylistiques, une terminologie, les échéances ainsi que des procédures de façon rigoureuse;
- une fois la traduction terminée, mener une évaluation et une vérification pour mesurer l'exactitude des termes et leur cohérence, signaler d'éventuels problèmes et confirmer les corrections;
- soutenir le gestionnaire linguistique et l'équipe de traduction dans le cadre de projets ponctuels, au besoin;
- répondre aux commentaires du client, analyser les commentaires fournis relevant du domaine juridique ou de la conformité, agir en qualité d'intermédiaire pour résoudre les problèmes en attente de résolution, et vérifier la mise en œuvre, par les fournisseurs, des mesures décidées suite aux commentaires;
- traiter, au quotidien, les demandes linguistiques et de consultation des clients internes et des fournisseurs/prestataires tiers de services linguistiques.
