Reporting to the Manager of Tourism, Culture & Sport, the Temporary Tourism Marketing Coordinator will coordinate the development and successful implementation of annual marketing plans and strategic marketing campaigns for Tourism Brantford, the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts and the Brantford Farmers' Market with assistance from the Tourism & Marketing Services Assistant. The Tourism Marketing Coordinator will monitor and make recommendations on the annual Division advertising budget, regularly advise tourism team members on key marketing projects and initiatives and coordinate the development and production of all tourism marketing materials with the Communications team. The Tourism Marketing Coordinator will serve as the Divison's in-house Public Relations expert; secure local and external positive media exposure; implement a comprehensive media relations program including working with the Travel Media Association of Canada or social media influencers; and develop timely media releases. Other duties include coordinating ongoing maintenance and content management for the Tourism Brantford website; creation of regular blog posts; creation and distribution of e-newsletters and social media marketing programs; implementation of annual Tourism Week communications; and coordination of the municipal tourism directional signage program.

**Job Duties**:

- Coordinate the media program, including media releases, FAM tours and itineraries, database management, media kits, responding to inquiries, tracking value of exposure, etc.
- Feed story ideas to local media, regional, provincial, and national outlets.
- Web site optimization, management, maintenance, updates, and partnership programs, including social media marketing activities.
- Coordination of sales, sponsorship, content, and production of a variety of marketing projects including Discover Brantford visitor guide, annual Tourism week activities multi-media programs and travel maps.
- Development of key marketing pieces for the Sanderson Centre (Season Brochure, Playbill, brochures and programs as required per show, per market, plus updated banners and theatre displays)
- Track advertising requests, coordinate ad bookings, and advise Tourism Division staff on market specific advertising
- Communications to industry partners: write and edit the Discover Brantford blog and weekly e-newsletters, as well as collect data for and write reports to the Economic Development, Tourism and Cultural Initiatives Advisory Committee as needed
- Assess, approve, and process requests from local tourism sites for municipal directional signage, in addition to acting as a liaison for TODS Canada signage program on behalf of the Division
- Creation of Tourism Brantford's Annual Marketing Plan in addition to strategic marketing plans for the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts and Brantford Farmers? Market
- Responsible for project management of the annual Discover Brantford Visitor Guide, including sales, writing editorial content and liaising with graphic designers
- Provide media relations support and coordinate launches for Visitor Guide, web site, and other special projects
- Other duties as assigned
