Otis Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, extremely organized Assistant Project Manager to contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of Otis Canada’s Montreal branch, supporting the major projects team within the construction department.

The Assistant Project Manager is required to perform a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

- Producing monthly progress bills following a defined schedule of values, knowing AR status of outstanding bills and requesting site documentation
- Requesting system Purchase Orders through JD Edwards, tracking open POs, receiving invoices, and paying vendors for completed work.
- Track and record manufacturing progress, installation progress and document any issues that delay the progress.
- Establish and communicate milestones to internal stakeholders as well as to the clients during this phase.
- Assisting in change order tracking, submittals, and bookings
- Participate in client related progress and planning meetings.
- Submit timely declarations of work and B44-Code conformity reports to the R.B.Q upon completion of the installation(s)
- Be able to read client related architectural drawings.
- Be able to read mechanical layouts comprising of elevator related equipment, assist superintendents and project managers with ordering elevator/escalator systems and parts, preparing close out documents, manuals and warranty letters

Education/Certifications
- High school diploma required
- Post-secondary education in a related construction or technical field

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, remain poised during difficult situations, and work well under pressure with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated ability at developing and fostering teamwork and change
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills as well as strong accuracy skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to take ownership of the assigned tasks
- A valid driver’s license and a car are necessary

À ce titre, elle contribuera à l’efficacité des activités quotidiennes de la succursale tout en soutenant l’équipe des projets de grande envergure au sein de la division Construction.

Principales responsabilités
- Produire des factures mensuelles sur l'état d'avancement des travaux conformément à une grille de valeurs définie, connaître l'état des factures en souffrance et demander de la documentation de chantier.
- Créer des bons de commande dans le système JD Edwards, assurer le suivi des bons de commande en cours, recevoir les factures et payer les fournisseurs pour le travail effectué.
- Effectuer le suivi et tenir un registre de l'avancement de la fabrication et de l'installation, et consigner tout problème susceptible de retarder l'avancement des travaux.
- Établir des jalons et les communiquer aux parties prenantes internes ainsi qu'aux clients au cours de cette phase.
- Participer au suivi des ordres de modification, aux soumissions et aux commandes.
- Participer aux réunions d'avancement et de planification.
- Soumettre les déclarations de travaux et les rapports de conformité au Code B44 à la Régie du bâtiment dès l'achèvement des travaux.
- Lire les dessins architecturaux des clients.
- Lire des dessins mécaniques comprenant de l'équipement lié aux ascenseurs, aider les contremaîtres en chef et les gestionnaires de projet à commander des systèmes et des pièces d'ascenseur/d'escalier mécanique, préparer les documents de clôture, les manuels et les lettres de garantie.
