We are hiring one (1) Full Time, Permanent
**Electrical Instrumentation Coordinator** position working out of Edmonton, AB.

This position is accountable for the coordination of electrical and instrumentation maintenance within EPCOR's Drainage Services, FCF team which includes ensuring maximum equipment availability and mínimal operational disruption.

What you’d be responsible for
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating day-to-day work, which includes assigning and monitoring tasks for the Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Team.
- Monitoring work order backlog on a regular basis to ensure customer expectations are met and reporting on task progress and work performance. Determining resource requirements, including ordering and arranging materials.
- Responding to SCADA alarm calls, and assigning an electrician to investigate and troubleshoot the alarms.
- Supporting capital project delivery through participation in project reviews, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Making recommendations on equipment isolation and shutdowns; and is the electrical lead for receiving and coordinating requests for electrical isolations and shutdown.
- Primarily lead hand or project lead journeyman work accountable for overall planning & scheduling functions of plant maintenance groups, quality assurance for electrical and instrumentation maintenance and/or process control systems design, configuration, and programming.
- May lead in-house construction projects, coordinate work on capital assets, and participate in hands-on work.
- Position is required to make significant decisions on the repair of major mechanical facilities independently during their daily work day, and is responsible to achieve efficient cost effective work from this team.
- Maintain and update plant documentation, equipment specifications, standard operating procedures, and standard maintenance work instructions and manuals.
- Act as lead and/or senior specialist for projects, and provide detailed project commissioning.
- Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.

What’s required to be successful
- Grade 12 or GED or equivalent.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician and Journeyman Instrument Technician Certificates. Alberta Master Electrician certification will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ of progressively responsible experience as a Journeyman Electrician and Instrumentation Technician.
- Minimum 5 years experience in all aspects of Wastewater Collections System maintenance is preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete training as required for this position within Drainage Services.
- Possession of a valid Alberta Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License with 6 or fewer demerits. Ability to qualify for and maintain a valid EPCOR driver's permit.
- Extensive knowledge of standard methods, principles, practices, tools, and equipment of the E&I maintenance trades.
- Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions with regard to electrical and maintenance activities.
- Executes the job or project plan and makes on-the-spot decisions to adapt the plan to accommodate unanticipated technical and resource issues
- Required to make immediate critical decisions when responding to hazardous emergency work suite conditions.
- Liaises with operations, project, and controls groups and engineers
- Keep E/I foreman informed of planned work a minimum 2 weeks ahead so that the schedule can reflect the work.
- Ensure a safe and respectful work environment for all workers and contractors.
