Victoria, Canada Slegg Building Materials Full time

**Summary**

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Gate Check Out to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm and the wage range is $19.70 - $22 per hour. Our extended Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

**Benefits**
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
- Compare receipt to product in customers vehicle to confirm the correct product was loaded/charged
- Verify customers leaving the yard were able to find everything on their list
- Greet and provide directions to customers in order to ensure they locate what they are intending to purchase
- Process returns (filling out return slips/verifying product is in saleable condition)
- General housekeeping/odd jobs (sweeping, assembling products e.g. wheelbarrows/hand trucks)
- Practice and promote workplace safety standards
- Assembly of yard items
- Provide superior Customer Service
- Other duties as assigned by management

**Responsibilities**
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priorities
- Deliveries as dictated by the needs of the business
- Superior customer service while driving and delivering materials and products
- Perform safety pre-trip inspections on Slegg vehicles
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Flexible work hours each day in order to complete necessary delivery orders
- General housekeeping duties, or various yard and warehouse tasks
- Other duties as assigned by management

**Requirements**:

- A broad knowledge of building supplies
- Effective written and oral communication skills (Ability to speak, read and write in English)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently and as team
- A positive can do attitude is essential

**The Location - Admirals, 1496 Admirals Rd.**

Located on Admirals Road on the land of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. This central location operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, with easy access to the highway and major bus routes. We specialize in drywall, insulation, steel stud, lumber, and more. You will learn a lot working with our upbeat team comprised of individuals with 15+ years of building material experience.
