**Collections Specialist**

A leader in environmentally conscious water management solutions in Western Canada with offices in B.C. and Alberta has need for a Collections Specialist to contact customers with overdue accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables to meet collection objectives.

Stormtec is a specialty water management company that makes the lives of their customers easier by taking on their water management challenges. When we do it right, no one notices us doing our work - not our customers, not the communities we work in, not the fish in the local streams. Except that our customers realize we don’t have the ongoing headache of water management. We provide water management solutions for sediment control, contaminated water treatment, dewatering and bypass solutions in the construction industry.

We’ve doubled in size over the last three years and expect to double again. We have a young, progressive team of 80 staff, led by an ambitious President & CEO who is leading the company through unprecedented but sustainable growth.

Reporting to the Dir of Finance, the responsibilities include:

- Problem-solve and talk to finance, sales, project management to figure out invoice discrepancies, when necessary.
- Regular review and reconciliation of customer accounts for late-payment, non-payment or other irregularities to allow for an accurate account status
- Update Dir. Of Finance on overdue accounts
- When needed, write and send Demand Letters and other actions.
- Able to adapt to change and learn new processes as the business evolves
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

**Requirements**:

- Min 1-2 years in Collections
- Similar construction related or industrial company
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with all key stakeholders
- Exceptional analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail required
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task several duties at once and prioritize them.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with a complex ERP system like Netsuite

**OTHER STUFF**

There’s no doubt that you’ll face some challenges; but you will be up for it because of your smarts and ability to learn quickly, your detail orientation and ability to work independently.

The workweek is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. We have a hybrid model for working in our Annacis Island head office and working from home.

At Stormtec, an offer of employment is dependent on reference checks with direct managers and criminal record check.
