**Nature of Position**:

- Temporary, full-time position (May 2023 - August 2023). Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Must be available to work in the Aquatrans office located in Delta, B.C., 5 days per week. Remote work is not available.

**Do**
- As our Logistics Communication Specialist Co-op, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with and learn from the Communications Team at Aquatrans. Over the co-op term you will practice using your excellent communication skills to help create and maintain strong relationships with our drivers and customers. The successful co-op student will also use strong multitasking skills to provide support in a fast paced, high call volume office environment while also completing operational and data entry tasks.

**You will**:

- Work directly with our Communications Team to connect frequently with drivers and customers to create and maintain strong relationships
- Communicate and check in with customers to provide updates, answer questions, etc.
- Process and communicate work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers, supervisors, and customers.
- Receive and process transportation requirement requests from customers
- Book pick up and delivery appointments with customers
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure loads are completed
- Collect and audit paperwork and driver envelopes to ensure accuracy
- Provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding any shipment when requested by a customer, manager, etc.
- Advise drivers and customers about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards
- Report safety concerns or damage from drivers, customers, etc. for resolution
- Enter and manage information in our in-house software
- Adhere to corporate and departmental policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required

**What You Need to Get the Job Done**
- Bachelors degree in progress
- Be active in your co-op program
- Must be in good standing with your accrediting university
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Able to work well under pressure and maintain calmness
- Flexible, ability to deal with change
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
