Role Summary
The Leasing Specialist works with the on-site staff, and reports to the Manager, Leasing. Working enthusiastically and collaboratively with fellow site staff, prospective and current tenants, vendor partners, and the Head Office support team, the Leasing Specialist & Tenant Liaison is primarily responsible for leasing, rent collection, and customer service. Success in the position will be gauged by overall occupancy and rent collection, tenant retention, customer satisfaction, and site upkeep.

Key Accountabilities
- Respond to all leasing inquiries, securing appointments to view the property and update/record activity in Yardi Voyager and Rent Café as applicable
- Schedule and conduct showings and open houses while encouraging prospective tenants to apply.
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience as the first point of contact for many customers and site visitors. Perform the overall leasing and resident relations functions at the property, evaluating and monitoring metrics that include vacancy, renewals, move-in, move-out, notices, etc.
- Facilitate the signing of all leases, schedules, assignments and addendum forms utilizing Yardi Voyager and Rent Cafe
- Provide feedback and recommendations to Senior Operations Manager on rental rates, promotions and overall market conditions with a view to maximizing revenue at the property
- Promote property, promotions, community events/initiatives, and company brand
- Develop and maintain an awareness of the local market and competitor offerings
- Conduct regular suite/property inspections and report findings to the Property Manager
- Report generation, administrative tasks, and special projects as assigned
- Assist in organizing resident engagement and retention events and activities at the property catered to the target market, with a view to developing relationships with residents
- Coordinate reservations of elevators for move-ins and move-outs
- Inspect all vacant suites daily to ensure suites are in optimal condition for showings/appointments
- Perform other duties related to leasing, marketing, and administration as required

Education & Experience
- Passion for excellence in customer service delivery
- Property Management and Sales experience an asset
- Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act will be considered an asset
- Five years relevant experience and post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors effectively and professionally, both oral and written
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of smartphone and tablet technology; strong command of MS Office, Gmail products
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager, Rent Café, and Rent Café ,DocuSign an asset
- Detail-oriented; ability to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense; and
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and flexibility
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license and a vehicle
